The shower is one of the few places in our modern digital world where we're left to our own thoughts, without any distractions. We do our deepest thinking under the cleansing heat of that hot water. 

Everyone thinks about different things, but I like to get existential with it. Specifically the big questions like, what if we're not alone in the universe.

The question of extraterrestrial life is an infinite guessing game of different variables, each of which can change the probability of an answer by many orders of magnitude. But while our best bet for an answer comes from using new telescope technology to scour the atmospheres of distant planets, it's possible that an ancient alien object drifting through our solar system will solve the mystery for us. We've already observed strange objects we can't identify. 

Oh well, time to turn the shower off.
